Special Culinary from Gresik: Cubung and Satru

Cubung and Satru
Everybody knows about Gresik, the district in East Java who is famous as the Muslim Students City (Kota Santri). Yet, in this moment, I give you a souvenir that will shake your tongue, the typical culinary from Gresik, that is Cubung, Satru, and Pudak.
Cubung is food that made from black sticky rice flour (tepung ketan hitam) by sesame topping. So, the taste is sweet and little salty.

Instead of, Cubung, there is also Satru, that is made from green beans. The taste is also so sweet.
Satru, Sweet Moment with Satru :)
*Special thanks to Mr. Lathif, the employee of PT Karunia Mandiri Consultant who had brought them from Gresik for us.

  1. I visited Gresik before my tours of the grand canyon about a month ago. It is located in the East Java Province of Indonesia. It is a small but a beautiful region to visit in Indonesian. Its famous attractions are ; Gapura Kanjeng Tumenggung Pusponegoro grave, Makam Nyi Ageng Pinatih, bat cave, Tirta Agung swimming pool and a Bawean island.
