Candi Tikus, The Place of Holy Water

Candi Tikus or Tikus Temple is located at Dinuk subvillage, Temon village, Trowulan-Mojokerto, East Java. 

This temple was built in the Majapahit Kingdom era, for about 13rd or 14th century, and considered as the place of holy water. It means that the water that come from this place was considered as the holy water. 

It is also considered that this temple is replication of Mahameru Mountain in India. 

As the one of beautiful destination to travel, this temple is also completed with park area. Therefore, people, either children, teens, and adults can enjoy this place well.

Prambanan Temple and The Legend of Roro Jonggrang

Prambanan Temle is located at Subdistrict Prambanan, Sleman. It's about 17 kilometers from Yogyakarta. Prambanan temple is the largest Hindu Temple that is about 47 meters height and was built at IX century, exactly at Sanjaya Dynasty era, that was King Wamea. 

It's also the beautiful temple due to its slim and height. It seems as the beautiful and elegant girls. There is legend about this beautiful princess that related to Prambanan Temple, that is Roro Jonggrang Legend and Raden Bandung Bondowoso. This legend tells about the Raden Bandung Bondowoso's propose to Roro Jonggrang, but Roro Jonggrang rejected him, because Raden Bandung Bondowoso was the son of King Damar Moyo who had killed her father, King Boko. 

To reject Raden Bondowoso's propose, Roro Jonggrang asked him to build one hundred statues in one night. Yet, because of Roro Jonggrang's efforts to fail Raden's work, Raden Bandung Bondowoso could not finish his work. It was still 999 statues that could be finished. Therefore, Raden could not marry the princess. 

Due to his anger, Raden cursed the princess as the statue too, in order that he could complete the amount of statues to be 1000 statues.

Until now, some people still believe that if there are a couple who making a date in this complex of Prambanan Temple, then they will be broken or separated.

Borobudur Temple: The Miracle of Historical Theme

Borobudur temple is the famous temple in Indonesia, and even around the world. I ever visited it when I was graduated from Senior High School (Wow, it was about 22 0r 23 years ago hehehe ....). Just visiting as a ritual of graduation with all schoolmates. 

At that time, there was no gadget like now. So, we could not take much picture, because we had to save our film stocks. And, in this month (November 2014), my first son went there with her teachers and schoolmates. Actually, the purpose of his visit to Yogyakarta was for Kunjungan Industri or Industrial Visits. But, due to in Yogyakarta, so they also visit any tourism places, such as Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple aka Roro Jonggrang, etc, and ... Malioboro of course.

By the way, related to Borobudur temple, it ever been the seven of the miracle of world. Therefore, anybody who visits Yogyakarta, it has been a MUST to visit Borobudur Temple, the bigger Buddhist Temple in Indonesia. Here is the picture that was taken by my son there. Sometime, you must visit there again and again. Because, there are many historical and philosophical theme there that can be learned, instead of its architecture and aesthetics reliefs and buildings.
